KUALA LUMPUR: The Denza D9 all-electric seven-seater multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) has been launched in Malaysia, priced at RM259,000 (Advanced FWD or front wheel drive variant) and RM309,000 (Premium AWD or all-wheel drive variant).
It is offered in three exterior colour options namely Arctic White, Cosmos Black and Whale Sea Blue.
Interior colour choices are Beige and Brown.
The first 800 buyers will get a free stuff such a 22kW wallbox (including installation), six years/120,000km service package, Denza neck and waist pillow, and Denza luggage.
The D9 comes with up to eight years or 160,000km warranty for the battery (state-of-health or SOH more than 70%) and up to eight years or 150,000km on its drive motor and motor controller, as well as a vehicle warranty of up to six years or 150,000km.

Customers looking to experience the Denza D9 can visit The Landing, KL Base (Feb 21 to 23).
Activities include test drives, Denza technology showcase, and VR showroom experience.

Denza, a premium sub-brand by BYD, also launched a cross-border after-sales warranty service for vehicle owners in Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand.
In a statement, the marque said the cross-border warranty in the three countries ensures transparent and reasonable costs, adopts local standard service charges, and eliminates hidden fees.
Denza users can enjoy a range of value-added services, including roadside assistance and a unified after-sales service standard in all three countries.
In the event of vehicle issues, a local service team will respond while repair processes are said to be efficient, with fast response time.
Denza's advanced systems is said to enable data inter-connectivity, and provide data support for follow-up services.
To recap, the D9 has a 103.6kWh LFP "Blade" battery and driving range (NEDC) is 600km (Advanced FWD variant) and 580km (Premium AWD variant).
It supports 11kW AC charging and 166kW DC fast charging.
The Advanced variant has a front electric motor producing 230kW (312PS) and 360Nm of torque.
The Premium AWD with front and rear electric motors has total system output of 275kWh (374PS)and 470Nm of torque.
The Advanced FWD variant can do the 0 to 100kph sprint in 9.5 seconds while the Premium AWD variant is quicker at 6.9 seconds.
The long list of standard equipment includes tyres sized 235/60 R18, leather seats, 8-way power adjustable front seats, front seat headrest wing adjustment, driver's seat memory, automatic climate control, 14 Dynaudio speakers and 7.1-channel surround sound technology, CN95 filter with activated carbon, PM2.5 green purification system, negative ion air purifier, six USB ports (Type A and Type C) and three 50W wireless phone chargers (one in front and two in the middle), LED headlights with Auto On function, Intelligent High Beams (IHBC), rain-sensing automatic boneless wiper, panoramic sunroof (with electric sunshade), double-layer sound-insulating glass, dual powered sliding doors, and a powered tailgate.
In the middle row, there are Captain seats that feature an 1,080mm electric slide rail, and the ergonomic, zero-gravity seats include ventilated seat function, 10-way electric adjustment, six-way adjustable sleeping headrests, electric leg rests, and wide-angle backrest adjustment with a massage function.
The D9 has a 15.6-inch touchscreen with “Hi Denza” voice control, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, and a 10.25-inch LCD 3D instrument cluster.
Standard driver assistance systems include full-speed adaptive cruise control (ACC), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), Rearward Collision Warning (RCW),
Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), Rear Cross Traffic Braking (RCTB), Lane Intelligent Pilot (ICC), BSD Blind Spot Monitor, Emergency Lane Keeping Assist (ELKA), and Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR).
There are also a surround view camera system, Hill Hold Control (HHC), Control System Traction (CST), Brake disc wiping system (BDW), Coordinated regenerative braking system (CRBS),
Roll Movement Intervention (RMI), Hill Descent Control System (HDC), Door opening warning (DOW) and Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).
Extra equipment on the Premium AWD variant include front seat massage function, a BYD self-developed DiSus-C intelligent damping suspension (instead of the FSD or Frequency Selective Damping variable damping suspension on the Advanced FWD variant), Nappa leather seats, premium suede headliner, automatic anti-glare interior mirrors, streaming interior rearview mirror, a W-HUD head-up display (12-inch), Forward Traffic Crossing Alert (FCTA), Forward Traffic Crossing Braking (FCTB), Driver fatigue monitoring (DFM) and Driver distraction detection.
