Shell Malaysia and BonusLink team up to help Covid-19 fighters
By CARSIFU | 06 April 2020KUALA LUMPUR: Shell Malaysia and BonusLink have joined forces to launch an initiative to enable customers to show their gratitude to the nation’s frontliners.
From April 2-7, BonusLink members can contribute a minimum of 100 points, which is equivalent to RM1, which will be channeled directly to the Covid-19 fund by the Ministry of Health.
Shell has pledged to match RM1 for every 100 points donated during the period.
Donations can be made at www.bonuslink.com.my or via the BonusLink app from Google Play and Appstore.
All donations to the Covid-19 fund will be used to help the ministry buy medical equipment, protection gear and other medical necessities.
Shell Malaysia donated hand sanitisers, mineral water, food and beverages to medical frontliners at Hospital Sungai Buloh, Hospital Kuala Lumpur, and Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun in Ipoh.
The company also gave essential items to local communities and frontliners at selected Shell stations in the country.
Part of the initiatives included supplying electricity for lamps and fans to temporary tents as well as contributing foods and drinks to local authorities.
"We recognise the challenges faced by these brave Malaysians and we hope these essential items will give our frontliners some needed support," said Shell Malaysia Trading managing director Shairan Huzani Husain.
