PETALING JAYA: Continental Tyres has unveiled its latest flagship Ultra Ultra High Performance (UUHP) tyre, the SportContact 7, in Malaysia.
The new tyre is designed to set new benchmarks in performance and provide unmatched driving confidence for automotive enthusiasts and sports car drivers in the country.
The SportContact 7 boasts several cutting-edge technologies, including an upgraded adaptive pattern that adjusts to different driving behaviours, providing enhanced grip on the road.
The tyre also features Force Clustering, which Continental says ensures optimal handling and performance for vehicles of all classes. Additionally, the BlackChili technology has been integrated into the tyre's pattern concept for an elevated level of driving pleasure.
According to Continental Tyre Malaysia managing director Andrea Somorova, the SportContact 7 was developed in response to customer feedback and the evolving driving patterns observed globally.
The tyre is equipped with stickier compounds to enhance grip and deliver an exhilarating driving experience without compromising safety and comfort.
It is said to excel in both dry and wet conditions, offering significantly improved performance on the street and track. Despite its focus on performance, the manufacturer claims the tyre can offer double-digit improvements in mileage compared to its predecessor, resulting in better fuel efficiency.
One of the key features of the SportContact 7 is its adaptability to different vehicle classes and sizes. Unlike other UUHP tyres, the SportContact 7 is tailor-made for every vehicle class and weight, ensuring a sporty feel and performance regardless of the car being driven, said Continental.
Continental said the tyre's adaptive pattern technology provides exceptional grip in wet conditions during braking and accelerating, while also preventing micro aquaplaning during cornering. The SportContact 7 is available in tyre sizes ranging from 18-inch to 23-inch and can be purchased at Continental Tyre dealerships across Malaysia.
