Citroen electrifies Spacetourer people carrier
By DPA | 04 June 2021PARIS: Citroen is now offering its Spacetourer van with electric drive and up to 75kWh of battery to give the spacious vehicle a range of up to 316km.
From now on, the French automaker will also offer the model as an e-Spacetourer with home market prices starting at €50,880 (RM255,000).
It's available in three lengths and two wheelbases and, apart from the lettering and a few colour accents, looks completely unchanged from the normal model.
According to the manufacturer, the van is only available with a 136hp electric motor on the front axle, which enables a top speed of 130kph.
Customers can choose between two battery capacities: 50 kWh for a standard range of 224km or 75 kWh for up to 316km.
Because the batteries are installed under the floor of the car, owners won't have to make any sacrifices in terms of the interior space or variable setups, according to Citroen.
The electric Spacetourer can also carry up to nine people in various seating configurations. And when all seats or benches are removed, a maximum of 4,500 litres of cargo can be transported.
