PETALING JAYA: Malaysian company IGL Coatings is making a name for itself internationally with its eco-friendly, sustainable automotive detailing products.
It has earned significant recognition at three major international events.
Founded and based in Shah Alam, the company has become known for developing sustainable ceramic coatings that reduce environmental impact while maintaining high performance.
IGL Coatings was named one of the top 10 winners in the 2024 Selangor E-Commerce Xccelerator program, recognising the company's rapid growth in the coatings industry.
Additionally, its flagship product, Ecocoat Kenzo, was selected as a finalist for Sustainable Product of the Year at the Dubai Automechanika Awards. Ecocoat Kenzo's eco-friendly properties and innovative design helped it stand out from thousands of entries.
At the SEMA Show in Las Vegas, IGL Coatings received the SEMA Global Media Award for its ceramic coating, Arcane.
This award highlights Arcane's breakthrough technology and environmental benefits, further establishing IGL Coatings as a leader in sustainable product development.
Arcane, the world’s first graphene-based ceramic coating, features low-emission graphene produced through energy-efficient processes, offering superior scratch resistance and durability. The product also uses waterless application methods, promoting resource conservation.
According to IGL Coatings, its formulations minimise the need for harsh chemicals and reduce water usage.
