CarSifu Auto Show 2022 JB: Vehicle bookings shift into high gear
By THE STAR | 30 October 2022JOHOR BARU: The CarSifu Auto Show 2022 – the first ever held in the state – is wrapping up today at The Mall, Mid Valley Southkey Johor Baru, having attracted a horde of visitors and prospective buyers in the past four days.
A number of them have made bookings for brand new wheels on display, ranging from combustion-engine vehicles to plug-in hybrids and all-electric cars.
Those who have placed their bookings include Malaysians living in Johor Baru but working in Singapore as well as locals living in Singapore and owning homes here.
Honda, Subaru, Proton, Toyota and Volvo are participating in the auto show organised by Star Media Group that runs from Oct 26-30.
Honda promoted its latest HR-V 1.5-litre SUV (sports utility vehicle) and 1.5-litre City V-Sensing sedan.
Subaru showed off its XV GT Edition, XV 2.0i-P EyeSight and Forrester GT Edition.
Separately, Proton displayed its 1.3-litre Premium S AT Saga compact sedan, 1.5-litre TGDI X50 SUV and 1.5-litre TGDI Premium 2WD X70.
At Toyota’s showcase, there were the 1.8-litre Corolla Cross Hybrid SUV, the newly launched 1.5-litre Veloz seven-seater MPV (multipurpose vehicle), along with the Vios.
Volvo presented its XC40 Recharge Pure Electric, which is Malaysia’s first locally assembled electric vehicle, and V60 plug-in hybrid.
