Carro provide 30 vehicles to fire-hit Putra Heights residents

KUALA LUMPUR: Carro, an online automotive marketplace, is loaning out at least 30 vehicles to the residents of Putra Heights who are affected by the pipeline fire on 1 April 2025.

In a statement, the company said this move is part of larger aid efforts to help affected residents regain stability and mobility, as they continue with their daily lives.

Carro Malaysia CEO Derrick Eng says, “It’s disheartening to witness the extent of impact and damage to the residents, especially during this festive period; and we wish for recovery to those who were injured. We hope our cars can help some residents slowly get back to their daily lives and ease any disruptions.”

Carro will work closely with the offices of Transport Minister Anthony Loke and Selangor State Exco for Investment, Trade and Mobility Ng Sze Han and local authorities to coordinate all relief efforts.

Ng had previously mentioned that applications for cars can be made through his office and on a first-come-first-served basis.
