Callum shows off luxury interior for on-road Skye variant
By CARSIFU | 29 December 2024LONDON: Callum has finally shown the world the interior design for the on-road variant of its high-performance, all-wheel-drive electric vehicle, the Callum Skye.
First announced in November 2023, the Skye balances rugged capability with refined luxury, offering a high-end 2+2 enclosed cabin crafted with premium materials and finishes.
“The Callum Skye is capable and has a rugged exterior, (but) the interior design is carefully and considerately refined to deliver a premium feel at every touchpoint,” said Callum's design head Aleck Jones.
The design combines simplicity with sophistication, featuring lightweight materials to meet challenging weight targets without sacrificing quality.
The interior’s focal point is a sleek "blade-like" centre console with tactile switchgear and touchscreen rotary dials for HVAC control.
The dash incorporates a central touchscreen compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, while a glove compartment and other surfaces are trimmed in luxurious Bridge of Weir leather.
Up front, sports seats in "Arctic Pearl" white semi-aniline leather are paired with a removable rear bench, suitable for children.
Bright silver metallic finishes run through the cabin, matching accents on the center console and steering wheel, while the footwell features a rubberized graphite finish for durability.
Callum’s signature "deconstructed tartan," digitally printed on leather surfaces, adds a unique design element with "Vitamin C" orange highlights.
The vehicle’s compact 4,047mm length and 1,150kg weight aim to deliver sports car performance, with a projected 0-100kph time of under four seconds. Powered by a 42kWh battery, the Skye offers an estimated range of 273km.
Callum plans to release a ruggedised "capable" variant with a durable interior in 2025.
Order books for the Skye are open, with prices ranging from £80,000 to £110,000 (from RM450,000 to RM619,000).
