ARA DAMANSARA: BYD Sime Motors, the official distributor of BYD cars in Malaysia, has unveiled the BYD Atto 3 Ultra which is priced at RM123,800.
Enhanced features of Atto 3 Ultra are:
- A Digital Key (NFC) allows drivers to unlock and start their vehicle with a tap of their smartphone or compatible device. Additionally, the Bluetooth Key function allows access through the BYD app without requiring internet connectivity.
- Interior design update: Bold all-black interior, while yellow contrast stitching replaces the previous red, adding a sportier touch.
- Ventilated front seats: Keeping the driver and front passenger cool and refreshed.
- A new rim design.
The first 1,000 customers get an early bird Ultra launch package which includes:

- Free 7kW wall charger (worth RM3,699)
- Free V2L adaptor (worth RM988)

Customers also have the option to buy the Service Plus package, which offers extra benefits such as tyre rotation, alignment, and balancing, along with an annual 12V battery replacement.

BYD Malaysia managing director Eagle Zhao added, “The BYD Atto 3 has a proven track record of reliability with over 6,300 units sold in Malaysia alone and over 950,000 units sold worldwide."
In a statement, BYD Sime Motors pointed out that based on Malaysian BYD Atto 3 ownership data, the high-voltage battery warranty claim rate stands lower than 0.3%, reflecting the battery’s exceptional reliability and longevity.
Also, data from long-term BYD Atto 3 drivers in Malaysia further reaffirms its durability, with owners surpassing 80,000km in mileage, maintaining consistent battery health.
According to Tee, a BYD Atto 3 owner since 2022, “I have driven my BYD Atto 3 up to 100,000km and I can safely say that the maintenance is cheaper than a petrol car! It is a hassle-free and convenient EV model to maintain and enjoy!”
