PETALING JAYA: Bugatti head honcho Stephan Winkelmann will also take over the reins at Lamborghini CEO by the end of the year, says a report by Autonews Europe.
If that is the case, Winkelmann will be running both brands.
He previously held the top job at Lamborghini from 2005 to 2016 and was responsible for seeing the Urus SUV into production before moving to Audi Sport.
As the head of Bugatti for the past three years, he signed off on the limited-run Divo and Centodieci hypercars and the Bolide concept racer.
The current Lamborghini boss Stefano Domenicali is set to depart in January 2021 to take over as CEO of Formula 1.
An official announcement is expected later this week.
