British luxury automotive wall art business gaining traction overseas

LONDON: Limited100.co.uk is a British outfit most people probably have never heard before but it is growing in its international influence.

The East Midlands-based luxury car prints business, is an online-only direct-to-consumer store that’s been a hit with petrolheads around the world, from Thailand to Australia, the UK to USA and beyond.

Powered by Shopify, the automotive home décor business was founded by car enthusiast and marketing professional Simon Wright, in 2020.

Its prints are sourced from award-winning photographers and to ensure exclusivity, each one is limited to 100 units (hence the company's name).

Limited100's automotive prints are available in a range of sizes, from A3 all the way up to 5 metres wide. Formats include print-only, framed, canvas, aluminium composite and acrylic glass.

It can also do bespoke work or print any format its customers want.

It recently celebrated a sale to its 400th customer - an employee from Portugal, buying one of its Ferrari F40 prints for his CEO’s 40th birthday.

Limited100’s customers include interior designers, homeware gift buyers, supercar dealerships, mancave garage projects, and even James Bond enthusiasts.

“I started Limited100 because after moving into my first home I was searching online for some artwork of a Lamborghini Miura, which I regard as the most beautiful car of all time," said Wright.

"I couldn’t find anything of super high-quality that was handmade, so I decided to create a company of my own that celebrates the handbuilt artisanship that Britain is so synonymous with.

"The edition number is picked at random for each order, unless a customer reaches out for something specific. For example, edition 8/100 is popular with our Japanese customers, and we recently had an order for someone’s 50th birthday, so as a thank you for their custom we gave them edition 50/100."

Wright's business was recently awarded a "Made in Britain" status, meaning to qualify 80% or all of the company's value chain must be based in the UK.
