Britain's AC Cars secures Taiwan deal

LONDON: AC Cars, Britain’s longest-running vehicle manufacturer, has appointed Ace One Motors Co. Ltd as its exclusive dealer in Taiwan, marking a significant step in its international expansion.

The deal, announced just ahead of the Lunar New Year, sees the iconic marque extend its reach into the Asian market for the first time, focusing on its celebrated AC Cobra GT range.

The new dealership, scheduled to open in Q2 2025, is located in Taipei’s prestigious Da’an district – an area known for its affluent clientele and proximity to key financial and international businesses.

The showroom will not only serve as a retail destination for AC Cars but also as a brand centre showcasing the company’s heritage, exclusive merchandise, and bespoke personalisation services.

With Taipei 101, one of the city's most recognisable landmarks, only two kilometres away, the location promises to attract both local and international sports car enthusiasts.

Ace One Motors will manage the complete sales process including delivery and aftersales support.

The dealership will display the AC Cobra GT Roadster and GT Coupe models, both of which represent a modern evolution of the original 1960s AC Cobra.

Featuring a clean-sheet design, the new models combine cutting-edge engineering and technology with classic styling cues.

They are built on an ultra-light, high torsional rigidity aluminium chassis, covered by a flowing carbon-composite body, and powered by a range of potent engines.

AC Cars CEO David Conza said Ace One Motors has a proven track record in high-performance and luxury retail.

The partnership is expected to boost regional brand awareness and attract new customers.
