BMW R nineT 100 Years launched at RM130K, 10 units allocated for Malaysia
By CARSIFU | 04 March 2023KUALA LUMPUR: BMW Motorrad Malaysia introduced the new BMW R nineT 100 Years on Friday.
Limited to only 1,923 units worldwide – a tribute to the founding year of BMW Motorrad – 10 units have been set aside for the Malaysian market.
It is priced at RM129,500.
The R nineT 100 Years’ is designed with a compact tank and upright seating position, as well as the use of quality materials and stylish design elements.
The centennial edition of the roadster is characterised by numerous features alongside an elaborate surface concept.
The Black Storm metallic paintwork on the chrome-plated tank is a vital, feature of the 100 Years edition, as the traditional paint-on-chrome method is a tribute to the 1969 R 75/5.
On the R nineT 100 Years, the interplay of paint and chrome is represented by a combination of black with chrome and white double-lining on the tank, complemented by tank grips and a 100 Years badge.
The classic chrome finish is also found on the surface of the rear seat cover, while the front fender is painted in black and features white double lining.
Rounding off the look is the two-tone black/oxblood combination used on the seat.
Complementing the look are numerous black components such as the fork tubes and air intake snorkel.
Standard equipment include LED headlights with daytime riding light, dual speed indicator and rational-speed sensor instruments with on-board computer content, and Automatic Stability Control.
The bike is powered by a 1,170cc air/oil-cooled flat twin four-stroke Boxer engine, producing 109hp and 116Nm of torque.
It is equipped with twin-disc brake with four-piston callipers for the front and a single-disc brake with double-piston floating callipers for the rear.
BMW Motorrad ABS Pro is also standard.
