BMW 840i Gran Coupé M Sport arrives, priced at RM969K

With the Balloon Financing Plan from BMW Group Financial Services Malaysia, it can be owned with a monthly instalment plan starting from RM11,058 (based on estimates of an 80% loan on a five-year tenure).
It is in six colours, namely Barcelona Blue, Sonic Speed Blue, Carbon Black, Black Sapphire, Mineral White and Sunset Orange.
They can be paired with BMW Individual extended Merino leather trim, with colour combinations ranging from Black, Night Blue, Cognac, Tartufo and Fiona Red.
Powering the 840i Gran Coupé M Sport is a three-litre six-cylinder in-line TwinPower Turbo engine producing 340hp at 5,000 - 6,500 rpm with a peak torque of 500Nm at 1,600 - 4,500 rpm mated to an eight-speed Steptronic Sport transmission with shift paddles on the steering wheels.
The century sprint is achieved in only 5.2 seconds – fastest in its segment, with a combined fuel consumption of 7.9L/100km.
Also provided is the BMW sDrive rear-wheel-drive system, while the sports exhaust system emanates powerful acoustics.
Exterior highlights include a panoramic glass roof, 20-inch lightweight alloy wheels, frameless side windows, the large M Sport air intakes and BMW laser headlight with high-beam assistant – the most slender headlight of all BMW models.
The coupé also features the BMW M Aerodynamic kit, in addition to the standard BMW M Sport package.
Towards the rear, full-LED taillights are offered with the stylised L-shape and smoked glass cover.
The wheelbase of the coupé has increased by 20cm, allowing space for two additional – equally frameless – doors.
It comes with the M Sport differential on the rear axle for maximum traction, the Integral Active Steering for more directional stability and Adaptive Suspension with electronically-controlled dampers.

Cabin highlights include the Harman Kardon 16-speaker surround sound system, a full-leather dashboard, electric sports seats with integrated headrests and active front-seat ventilation, roller sunblinds and the four-zone automatic air conditioning.
The further expanded luggage space now offers 440 litres of luggage capacity when rear seat backrests are folded with a 40/20/40 split.
Digital services are offered via the BMW Live Cockpit Professional combined with the Head-Up Display and BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant for smoother vehicle operation.
There are also natural voice interaction via the BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant, intuitive operation via the iDrive Controller, touchscreen feature and BMW Gesture Control.
The BMW Live Cockpit Professional includes a 12.3-inch, customisable instrument cluster and combines it with the large (10.25-inch) touchscreen Control Display and the latest-generation infotainment system based on BMW Operating System 7.0.
The driving assistance systems include the Cross-traffic Warning at the rear and Lane Change Warning, and the Active Cruise Control with Stop & Go function, the automatic Speed Limit Assist, the Steering and Lane Control Assistant including narrow-passage support and the Forward Collision Warning with braking function (pedestrians and cyclists).
In addition, the Parking Assistant Plus available as standard includes the Parking Assistant as well as the Surround View system with Top View, Panorama View and Remote 3D View.
The lateral parking aid and the Active Park Distance Control emergency braking feature are also included to help support in sticky parking situations.
Owners will also be able to enjoy the BMW Display Key along with the BMW Connected Package Professional with Teleservices, Intelligent Emergency Call and Apple CarPlay.
