Bentley goes 'Nila Blue'

LONDON: Bentley Motors has announced a continued partnership with British fashion designer Supriya Lele, introducing a bespoke colour named "Nila Blue" for exclusive use by Mulliner customers.

Inspired by Lele's Indian heritage, "Nila" is Sanskrit for "sapphire," reflecting both personal and cultural ties.

Known for her nuanced use of blue in her fashion collections, Supriya brings this distinctive hue to Bentley, blending high fashion and luxury automotive design.

Crafted as a one-off Bentley Bentayga S, Nila Blue is showcased with matched lower brightware and a pinstripe detail on 22-inch wheels.

Contrasting Mulliner White accents and an interior featuring black stained walnut veneers and satin black Naim speaker grilles further accentuate the bespoke colour's elegance.

This collaboration aims to highlight Bentley Mulliner’s craftsmanship and adaptability, creating colours and finishes that mirror the demands of each customer.

"Colour plays a key role in both my practice and brand identity," said Supriya.

"This shade of blue feels distinctive yet subtle, slightly different from the usual. It's this nuanced difference—the inability to exactly define it—that I love about creativity. I incorporate this subtlety into my work, so collaborating with Bentley to bring this unique colour to life using my own references and brand has been truly rewarding.”

Chief commercial officer at Mulliner, David Parker, said the collaboration was Bentley’s way of pushing boundaries in bespoke automotive finishes.

Nila Blue is now available through Mulliner Bespoke Studio, with inquiries open via Bentley retailers.
