By CARSIFU | 10 February 2023SHAH ALAM: Porsche Holding Salzburg Automotive Malaysia (PHSAM), the official distributor of Audi in Malaysia, has opened its order books for the all-electric e-tron GT.
The luxury performance electric vehicle (EV) is estimated to be priced from RM559,000 to RM769,000 and is expected to make its official debut in two variants within the coming months - together with the Q8 e-tron 50 and Q8 e-tron 55.
The entry-level e-tron GT quattro is estimated to cost between RM559,000 and RM569,000.
An accompanying Dynamic Package will also be made available and this will increase the price range to RM633,000 and RM643,000.
The range-topping RS e-tron GT will cost between RM749,000 and RM769,000.
With a 2,900mm wheelbase, this EV comes in measuring 4,989mm-long, 1,964mm-wide and 1,413mm-tall while sporting a 93kWh lithium-ion battery to power up its electric all-wheel drive system with an electronically-managed open rear differential to help further enhance traction.
Charging up the battery can be done via a home-friendly AC (up to 11kW) Type 2 connector or DC (up to 270kW) CCS connector.
Suspension is the front double-wishbone and rear multi-link setup with damper control and wheels are the black 20-inch penta-spoke aerodynamic module style in staggered front 245/45 and rear 285/40 tyres.
Peak performance numbers of this EV's electric motors are rated at 476PS and 630Nm or 530PS and 640Nm - all of which gets managed by a two-speed automatic transmission.
In Boost Mode, the 0-100kph sprint time is cut from 4.5 seconds down to 4.1 seconds.
Based on the Worldwide harmonised Light vehicles Test Procedure (WLTP), this vehicle promises up to 458km of range and a consumption of 21.6kWh per 100km on the combined cycle at best.
Externally, LEDs are used entirely for the front headlights and rear light clusters with dynamic turn signals and also come fitted with a panoramic glass roof and Black Appearance Package Plus.
While providing 405 litres of luggage capacity, the interior's lower and upper elements are wrapped in leatherette.
These are accompanied by a sports-contour three-spoked flat-bottomed leather-wrapped multi-function steering wheel with paddle-shifters before getting dressed in perforated leather that's held together by honeycomb stitching.
When out and about, occupants will be treated to an audible e-tron sports sound while having access to the Audi connect Navigation & Infotainment system, the Audi smartphone interface with Audi phone box light and the MMI Navigation plus with MMI touch.
Front passengers will be seated in electrically adjustable Sports Seats Pro with memory function for the driver and will get cooled by a tri-zone climate control system that comes with Comfort Stationary air conditioning and Air Quality Package.
For safety, the e-tron GT quattro will arrive equipped with eight airbags including front and rear pre-sense system, adaptive cruise control with speed limiter, efficiency assist, swerve assist and turn-assist, lane departure warning as well as front and rear cross-traffic assist, among others.
Buyers opting for the e-tron GT quattro with Dynamic Package means the LED headlights get swapped out for a more sophisticated Matrix LED set that comes with Audi Laser Light and a unique Lighting Scheme.
Additionally, the package also includes a Black Appearance Package which adds piano black accents while the panoramic glass roof is replaced with a carbon fibre-type.
The brakes are also upgraded to performance-oriented tungsten carbide-coated steel brakes that are now accompanied by red brake callipers.
Inside, the seats are now wrapped in a combination of Nappa leather and Dinamica microfibre.
A heads-up display and a more premium Bang & Olufsen sound system with 3D sound are also included in the mix.
As for the range-topping RS e-tron GT, a glossy carbon styling package and carbon exterior mirror housings have been added the visually differentiate it from its stablemates.
Power also gets uprated to 598PS and 640Nm and if in Boost mode, it spikes up to 646PS and 830Nm to drop its century sprint time from 3.6 seconds down to 3.3 seconds.
The higher output reduces its range to 447km while increasing power consumption to 22.1kWh (WLTP) per 100km at best.
This range-topper happens to ride slightly higher due to the larger 21-inch black penta-spoke concave module wheels wearing front 265/35 and rear 305/30 size tyres.
Also included are Adaptive Air Suspension system with an all-wheel steering system.
The cabin receives Matte Carbon Twill decorative inserts, front and rear illuminated glossy carbon scuff plates, stainless steel pedals and Black Dinamica microfiber for the headliner.
