INGOLSTADT: Audi has unveiled a special edition model, the Audi RS 4 Avant edition 25 years, in tribute to the 25th anniversary of the RS 4.
This limited-run vehicle, with only 250 units available, showcases Audi's commitment to performance and innovation.
The anniversary model features exclusive design elements and enhanced performance, making it a standout in the RS 4 lineup. Additionally, the Audi RS 5 Sportback performance edition receives a power upgrade, further cementing Audi’s reputation for high-performance vehicles.
The origins of the RS 4 trace back to the 1990s with the Audi Avant RS2 and Audi S6 plus, which established the sporty wagon segment.

The first RS model from quattro GmbH (now Audi Sport GmbH) debuted in 1999 with the B5-generation RS4 Avant. This model featured a 2.7-litre biturbo six-cylinder engine, developed in collaboration with Cosworth, producing 280 kW (380 PS).
The sportiest version of this generation, the RS4 Sport, was introduced in 2001, boasting lower suspension, bucket seats, a sport exhaust, and a suede steering wheel.
The new RS 4 Avant edition 25 years features a V6 biturbo engine producing 346 kW (470 PS) and 600 Nm of torque, an increase of 15 kW (20 PS) over the RS 4 Avant.
This model accelerates from 0 to 100kph in 3.7 seconds and has a top speed of 300kph. It includes the RS sport suspension pro, a manually adjustable coilover suspension, which lowers the ride height by 10 millimeters compared to the standard RS 4 Avant, with an additional 10-millimeter adjustment available.

The RS 4 Avant edition 25 years is available in Imola Yellow, Nardo Gray, and Mythos Black. It includes glossy black trim on the side windows, a black inlay in the rear lights, and Matrix LED headlights with darkened bezels.
The vehicle’s roof rails have been removed for a sportier silhouette, and it comes with tinted sun protection glazing for the rear windows. The edition model also features “RS 4 edition 25 years” lettering on the windows between the C- and D-pillars and a Carbon matte appearance package.
The interior of the RS 4 Avant edition 25 years features yellow decorative stitching reminiscent of the 2001 RS4 Sport’s black/yellow leather Alcantara combination.

The RS bucket seats have honeycomb stitching and a carbon backrest, with black leather/Dinamica and yellow stitching. The steering wheel, leather armrests, centre console, and gear gaiter also feature yellow stitching.
The floor mats bear the RS 4 logo, and the traditionally red Audi Sport rhombus and black RS lettering are yellow in this edition.
The RS 4 Avant edition 25 years and the RS 5 Sportback performance edition2 are produced in Ingolstadt, alongside the A4, S4, and RS 4, demonstrating the flexibility of the production site.

Both models are available to order starting June 2024.
The RS 4 Avant edition 25 years is priced at 142,905 euros (RM730,000), while the RS 5 Sportback performance edition2 starts at 128,420 euros (RM656,000).
