Aston Martin unwraps DB12 Goldfinger Edition to celebrate 60 years of Bond partnership

LONDON: Aston Martin has introduced the DB12 Goldfinger Edition, a limited-run model crafted by the marque’s bespoke service, Q by Aston Martin, to commemorate six decades of its association with the James Bond film franchise.

Only 60 units will be produced, marking a tribute to the iconic partnership that began with the Aston Martin DB5’s appearance in Goldfinger (1964).

The DB12 Goldfinger Edition sports the signature Silver Birch paint reminiscent of the DB5 from the film. It features 21-inch multi-spoke wheels with diamond-treated finishes, black brake calipers, and gold accents, including bespoke side strakes and a unique Aston Martin logo. A bright chrome "Q" badge highlights its custom status.

Inside, the DB12 Goldfinger Edition blends classic Bond styling with modern luxury. Leather Sports Plus seats feature a fluted design with a Prince of Wales check pattern, extending to the door inserts and headliner.

Gold accents, including an 18k gold-plated gear selector and drive mode controls, enhance the luxurious interior, alongside a nod to Goldfinger in the form of the “eight of hearts” embroidery on the driver’s sun visor.

Owners of the DB12 Goldfinger Edition will receive exclusive gifts, including a custom car cover, a 35mm film piece from the famous Furka Pass scene in Goldfinger, and a magnum of Bollinger Champagne with Bond-themed glassware.

The DB12 Goldfinger Edition is powered by a 4.0-litre V8 twin-turbo engine producing 680PS. First deliveries are expected in Q2 2025.

Aston Martin’s enduring presence in the James Bond franchise spans 12 films, with the DB12 Goldfinger Edition serving as the latest homage to their long-standing cinematic connection.
