KUALA LUMPUR: Zeekr Malaysia has officially started operations and is now taking orders for the Zeekr X all-electric compact urban sports utility vehicle (SUV) and the all-electric ultra luxurious Zeekr 009 multi-purpose vehicle (MPV).
The X's indicative pricing is RM180,000 and below, while the 009’s is RM370,000 and below.
The booking fees are RM2,000 and RM4,000 for the X and 009 respectively.
Zeekr is represented in Malaysia by Sentinel Automotive Sdn Bhd that is the distributor and provider of sales, after-sales service and spare parts.
Designed and engineered for the global market, the ultra sleek and stylish X is offered in two distinct variants – Premium and Flagship AWD.
The top-of-the-line Flagship AWD is equipped with a dual motor system that produces 422hp, making the variant as one of the most powerful and quickest electric SUVs in its segment and price bracket.
The Flagship AWD can complete the 0-100kph acceleration in just 3.8 seconds.
The Premium variant, meanwhile, is powered by a single rear-mounted motor that delivers 268hp that allows a 0-100kph sprint of 5.6 seconds.
The X's 66kWh battery has a 150kW DC charging capable of charging the vehicle from 10% to 80% in 30 minutes.
Both variants are available in five exterior colours – Crystal White, Mist Grey, Grid Grey, Palace Beige and Pine Green with Charcoal Black and Stone Grey interior trim.
The X gets a 5-star Euro NCAP and Green NCAP ratings, and features an extensive range of active and passive integrated safety protection system.
The X’s Passenger Guard Passenger Protection System includes seven airbags, 360-degree Camera and Digital Video Record (DVR).
Among the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) features are advanced Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC); Automatic Lane Change (ALC); Lane Centering Control (LCC); Lane Keeping Assist (LKA); Collision Mitigation Support Front (CMSF); Collision Mitigation Support Rear (CMSR); Door Open Warning (DOW); Front Cross Traffic Assist (FCTA); Rear Cross Traffic Assist (RCTA); Parking Emergency Braking (PEB); Blind Spot Detection (BSD); Evasive Manoeuvre Assist (EMA); Automated Parking Assist (APA); and Driver Performance Monitor (DPM).
Meanwhile, the 009 is said to be the most powerful MPV in the market with the High Performance Dual Motors (all-wheel-drive) delivering 603hp and 693Nm of torque.
The MPV can also complete the 0-100kp dash in 4.5 seconds.
Available in the Luxury seven-seater and the Ultra Luxury six-seater, the 009 has a 116kWh battery with a WLTP range of 582km.
Its 150kW DC charging is capable of achieving 10% to 80% charge in just 30 minutes.
Both variants are offered in Phantom Black, Electric Blue and Crystal White Pearl exterior colours with soft Nappa leather interior colours of Black, Stone Grey and Polar White; and Midnight Blue and Polar White.
The driver and front passenger seats are equipped with 12-way adjustments memory seats, massage function and ventilation.
Meanwhile, the second row passenger seats get a 1.1-m Ultra Long Electric Slide Rail for adjustments.
The front passenger seat position can also be adjusted from the second row.
The 009 comes with Sofaro First Class Aeronautic seats where the second row comes equipped with independent wide armrests with seat adjustment controls; adjustable leg rest; seat ventilation, massage and memory functions; and third row one-button electric easy entry and exit function.
Other items are the driver’s 10.25-inch full HD LCD meter cluster and 35.95-inch augmented reality (AR) head-up display; a 15.05-inch OLED touchscreen infotainment system; 17-inch OLED ceiling-mounted screen; second row door Smartbar screen; 30 Yamaha surround luxury speakers with seat headrest loudspeaker; 50W mobile phone wireless charging; nine USB Type C ports; CarPlay and Android Auto Connected Service System; and face recognition driver monitoring system (DMS) to monitor driver fatigue.
Also included are an intelligent Matrix LED projection headlights, Adaptive Driving Beam (ADB) with Intelligent Zoning Lighting, and LED daytime running lights.
Like the X, the 009 also comes standard with a comprehensive suite of Vehicle Guard/Vehicle Safety Protection System that includes a 360-degree camera; and digital video recorder.
Its ADAS incorporates Lane Centering Control (LCC); Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC); Collision Mitigation Support Front (CMSF); Collision Mitigation Support Rear (CMSR); Lane Keeping System; Blind Spot Detection (BSD); Door Open Warning (DOW); Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR); Driver Performance Monitor (DPM); Speeding Reminder Warning; and Parking Emergency Brake.
For ride control and ultimate comfort, the 009’s double-wishbone and multi-link independent suspension set-up is complemented by electromagnetic vibration-damping technology air suspension and an automatic levelling function.
The 009's sound level is rated at a low 64.5 dB at 120kph.
