KUALA LUMPUR: Suzuki in Malaysia has unveiled the all-new V-Strom 250 SX (sports crossover) priced from RM17,800.
The 249cc adventure-styled motorcycle is built on the platform of the popular Gixxer 250 bike.
Its single-cylinder engine delivers 26.1hp and 22.2Nm of torque at 7,300rpm for a smooth performance.
It also boasts adventure-inspired looks with a prominent "beak" and dual sport tyres.
The bike features a stylish LED headlight with a unique high/low beam setup, in a thin housing for a sleek look and strong road presence.
Meanwhile, the LED tail light has a bright light guide design.
Weighing 167kg, this six-speed bike gets a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels, combined with telescopic front fork and a rear swingarm-type suspension with 7-step adjustable preload.
Also equipped are a 310mm single front and 240mm rear disc brakes for ample braking power with dual-channel ABS for added safety.
Other features include a comprehensive LCD instrument cluster displaying vehicle speed, engine rev, odometer, gear position, trip meters, fuel consumption, fuel level, clock, and voltage.
With a 12-litre fuel tank, the V-Strom 250 SX promises a range of over 500km.
Also included are the Suzuki Easy Start System that requires only a brief single press with the clutch lever pulled to fire up the engine, Suzuki Oil Cooling System to keep the engine cool in hot weather and Suzuki Eco Performance for fuel economy and strong engine performance.
While the V-Strom 250 SX may not be a hardcore adventure bike, it successfully blends sporty styling with practical touring capabilities, making it a versatile option for urban commuting and weekend getaways.
The V-Strom 250 SX is available now at all authorised Suzuki dealers nationwide.
