All-new Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 introduced from RM30,600


SERDANG: Royal Enfield in Malaysia unveiled the all-new Himalayan 450 motorcycle that refines adventure touring with the latest innovations.

Inspired by the challenging Himalayan ecosystem, the new model priced from RM30,600, is designed to adapt to different terrains and riding conditions.

At the heart of the new Himalayan 450 is the Sherpa 450 engine, Royal Enfield's first liquid-cooled block that delivers 39.47hp at 8,000rpm and 40Nm of torque at 5,500rpm.

It features upside-down front fork, Ride-by-Wire technology and the TripperDash TFT display with full map navigation.

The Himalayan 450 comes with with 21-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel combination, with newly developed aluminium alloy rims and bespoke tyres for better grip for handling and stability on tarmac and off-road conditions.

Additionally, the wider 140/80 rear tyre is designed for better traction.

The Himalayan 450 also boasts a stiffer frame and better ergonomics for a comfortable ride on all terrains.

The suspension system includes a new Showa, cartridge-type inverted fork, designed to work across a wide range of conditions from smooth roads to rocky river beds.

The Himalayan 450’s 17-litre fuel tank capacity is expected to give an average range of 520km while the bike's claimed top speed is 122kph.

Available in three variants of Base, Pass and Summit, owners have a five-colour choice of Kaza Brown, Slate Poppy Blue, Slate Himalayan Salt, Hanle Black and Kamet White.
