SHAH ALAM: After its first public preview in December, the price of the all-new Kia Carnival multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) in Peninsular Malaysia for private ownership has been announced at RM196,340.
Selling price includes import duty, sales tax, standard accessories and SkyTint.
Fully-imported from South Korea, the fourth generation of Kia's flagship MPV features an 11-seating capacity in a spacious vehicle with innovative styling.
The new model comes with a longer wheelbase and gets an unique ‘island roof’ appearance design, with blacked-out A- and B-pillars supporting the body-colored roof.
The MPV also a new ‘tiger face’ grille design which extends across the width of the vehicle and integrates with the LED headlamps.
Other key features include Smart Power Sliding doors and Smart Power Liftgate, Smart Key with one-button open/close functionality for rear sliding doors and liftgate.
Also included are a class-leading 12.3-inch High-resolution LCD Touchscreen Infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless smartphone charging, multi-Bluetooth connectivity and up to seven USB ports.
Powering the Carnival is a 2.2-litre turbodiesel engine with 199hp and 440Nm of torque mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission with an electronic shifter.
Standard safety equipment includes seven SRS Airbags (Front Driver & Passenger, Driver Knee, Side and Curtain), Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Traction Control System (TCS), Multi-Collision Brake Control (MCB), ISOFIX Child Restraint Anchor Points and Top Tethers as well as Hill-start Assist Control (HAC).
It also comes with advanced safety features such as Blind-Spot Collision Warning (BCW) and Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Avoidance Assist (RCCA).
The Carnival is offered with a 5-Years Manufacturer Warranty + 5-Years Free Maintenance and a mileage limit of 100,000km, whichever comes first.
