All-electric Proton e.MAS 7 priced from RM120,000
By CARSIFU | 26 October 2024SHAH ALAM: Proton New Energy Technology Sdn Bhd (Pro-Net), the electric vehicle (EV) unit of Proton, has announced the tentative price of the upcoming e.MAS 7 from RM120,000.
The all-electric sports utility vehicle (SUV) will be available in two variants of Prime and Premium.
The Prime, which is estimated at around RM120,000, comes with a 49.2kWh high voltage battery pack for a WLTP range of 345km.
The battery can be charged from 30% to 80% in 20 minutes with a 80kW DC charger and 4.9 hours if a 11kW AC charger is used.
The Premium, whose price has not been disclosed, gets a higher capacity battery pack of 60.22kWh for a longer range 410km.
Charging its battery pack from 30% to 80% takes 20 minutes if a 100kW DC charger is used and 6.1 hours if a 11kW AC charger is connected.
The e.MAS 7 claims the best-in-industry electric drive unit with an efficiency of 90.4%.
Output is rated at 160kW with 320Nm of torque.
Features include six airbags, leatherette seats, a two-spoke steering wheel, 19-inch aerodynamic wheels, 10.2-inch digital instrument panel and 15.4-inch infotainment touchscreen among others.
Also included are a 360-degree camera and a comprehensive Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS).
The e.MAS 7 is open for booking with early birds offered a pioneer privilege deal with RM500 off and pioneer gift package worth RM1,000.
The e.MAS 7 is a joint-development by Proton and its partner and shareholder Geely Holdings.
The model shares underpinnings with the Geely Galaxy E5 EV.
The e.MAS 7 is slated for launch towards the end of the year.
