KUALA LUMPUR: Lotus Cars Malaysia has introduced the Emeya, the British auto brand's first all-electric Hyper-GT (Grand Tourer).
The vehicle is available with a booking fee of RM5,000 in three variants of Emeya, Emaya S and Emeya R, priced from RM575,000.
Deliveries are expected to start in four months.
Drawing experience from Lotus' 75 years in motorsports, the Emeya redefines the spirited personality of a Lotus and sets new standards in the GT segment for ride and handling excellence.
It features an advanced two-speed transmission and high-power dual-motor configuration that works in tandem with race-grade braking system.
The top variant Emeya whips out 905hp and 985Nm of torque for a top speed of more than 250kph.
It can accelerate from 0-100kph in under 2.78 seconds, placing it in the exclusive realm of being one of the fastest electric GTs in the world.
Aside from a host of advanced active and innovative aerodynamic, the Emeya also gets a low centre of gravity design defined as a "hyperstance" for outstanding overall stability and setting new standards in the GT segment for ride and handling.
When connected to a rapid 350kW DC charger, the Emeya can extend its range by 150km with just a five-minute charge, and has the capability to boost its range from 10% to 80% on an 18-minute charge.
It has a maximum WLTP driving of between 490km and 600km depending on the variant.
Other smart features include real-time road information with navigation; Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) data that displays turn signals, obstacle warnings, lane departure, forward collision alerts and blind-spot monitoring; and the ability to quickly access crucial information using an industry leading 55-inch projected augmented reality (AR) head-up display (HUD).

Until its official launch, the Emeya will be available for an exclusive preview at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur from July 30 to Aug 4.
