Alfa Romeo 105 / 115 Series (1963 - 1977) to be reborn in carbon fibre
By CARSIFU | 18 March 2020LONDON: UK-based Alfa Romeo restorers Alfaholics has produced new "clothes" for the 105 / 115 Series (Giulia) that had its production run from 1963 to 1977. And it's all made out of carbon fibre.
Dubbed the Alfaholics GTA-R 300 - Build 023, this "build" programme is a full carbon fibre body conversion which helps save 70kgs over its steel-bodied stablemates.
Alfaholics is known for its GTA-R builds and the 023 build is part of its R-Type programme that comes with a plethora of options that include engines, suspension, upholstery and audio systems to name a few.
The work-in-progress kit will take on the company's latest GTA-R Ultraleggera billet titanium lightweight suspension package for further weight savings and geometry optimisation.
In terms of power-to-weight ratio, the build is expected to achieve more than 300bhp per tonne.
The company looks set to provide a full carbon fibre kit for avid restorers over its previous provision of just the front hood, doors and boot lid.
