LONDON: Ineos Automotive has introduced its latest 4X4, the Ineos Fusilier here.
Announced by Sir Jim Ratcliffe, the vehicle boasts off-road capabilities and on-road performance, offering both all-electric (BEV) and low-emission range-extender electric powertrains.
The latter features a small petrol engine to power a generator, extending the battery's charge when external charging is not available, with further details expected by autumn 2024.

Ratcliffe emphasised the importance of diverse powertrain technologies for decarbonisation and meeting consumer demands.
The Fusilier, developed in partnership with Magna, will be made in Graz, Austria, and promises a blend of the Grenadier's heritage with modern design and technology.
The new 4X4 will be slightly shorter in length and slightly lower in height than the Grenadier.

It will feature a bespoke skateboard platform, steel structure, and aluminum parts.
This announcement follows Ineos Automotive's reveal of a Grenadier Hydrogen Fuel Cell Technology Demonstrator at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in July 2023.
