Tesla opens new service centre in Seberang Jaya, Penang
By CARSIFU | 10 September 2024KUALA LUMPUR: Tesla Malaysia has opened a new service centre with a body and paint workshop in Seberang Jaya, Penang.
The company said in a statement that the new facility would provide enhanced service facilities for Tesla owners in Penang and the Northern region.
"The opening of the service centre is our aim in ensuring that all service needs and requirements are efficiently handled by the region," Tesla Malaysia said.
The centre is located on Jalan Jelawat, Taman Perindustrian Seberang Jaya.
Tesla will also start delivering cars to customers at the service centre from Sept 12.
The company has also launched its first V4 Supercharger station in Penang at the B1 carpark of Gurney Plaza.
The station in Gurney Plaza offers four superchargers and is a significant advancement in improving the accessibility and convenience of charging electric vehicles in Penang and expanding the Tesla charging network in Malaysia.
The DC superchargers deliver 250kW with a pay-per-use fee of RM 1.25/kWh.
Tesla electric vehicle owners can use the Tesla App to easily locate, navigate to and monitor the status of superchargers with payments processed automatically.
Tesla will also display the Tesla Bot, also known as Optimus, at the Gurney Plaza pop-up roadshow from Sept 10-15.
The humanoid robot which was designed to undertake repetitive and boring tasks, use the same AI technology in Tesla vehicles to navigate its movements safely and efficiently.
