SAIC Motor promises better MG service with new parts warehouse in Klang Valley
By CARSIFU | 15 November 2024KUALA LUMPUR: SAIC Motor Malaysia announced on Thursday the opening of a new MG Motor parts warehouse in the Klang Valley to streamline aftersales support for MG owners.
The facility will cater to both internal combustion engine (ICE) and electric vehicle (EV) models, including the MG4 EV, MG ZS EV, MG5 Sedan, MG HS SUV, and the soon-to-launch MG Cyberster EV Roadster.
With over 4,500 SKUs and 22,000 parts in stock, the warehouse aims to expedite repair times and enhance service efficiency.
This expansion coincides with the graduation of 39 certified MG technicians, boosting the brand's network of authorized service centers. Currently, there are 12 operational centers, with plans to open 13 more. These centers are fully stocked with essential MG parts to reduce wait times and improve service accessibility for customers.
SAIC Motor Malaysia chief operating officer Lee Wen Hsiang said the company is focused on providing reliable aftersales support. “Our mission is to ensure MG vehicles are promptly serviced and ready for the road, offering our customers dependable and proactive service."
In addition to enhancing parts availability, MG is focused on reducing ownership costs for the MG5 Sedan.
The brand offers a 5-year unlimited mileage vehicle warranty and a 7-year unlimited mileage powertrain warranty, setting a benchmark in the segment. The predictable maintenance schedule and warranty coverage aim to provide budget certainty and confidence in vehicle durability.
MG’s support extends to its EV models as well. Owners of the MG4 and MG ZS EV benefit from a 1-year or 20,000 km warranty for the 12V battery, along with a 7-year unlimited mileage vehicle warranty and an 8-year unlimited mileage battery warranty. These measures are designed to ensure long-term reliability and peace of mind for MG drivers.
