Sagree Sardien heads to Mercedes-Benz Vans from May 1


STUTTGART: Where goes Sagree Sardien?

The former Mercedes-Benz Malaysia boss is set to head sales & marketing for Mercedes-Benz Vans from May 1.

Sardien is currently in charge of overseas markets for Mercedes-Benz Cars, based in Stuttgart.

She is succeeding Klaus Rehkugler, who would be assigned to lead product management for Mercedes-Benz Cars.

Sardien worked in Malaysia from June 2021 until July 2023. Amanda Zhang took over when Sardien left Malaysia.

Sardien began her Mercedes-Benz career with Daimler Fleet Management as operations chief in South Africa in 2008.

Afterwards, she has held various leadership positions in the company that included Sales, Product Management, Aftersales and Parts Logistics.

During her tenure as overseas markets head, Sardien has focused on steering the company through the complexity of the diverse overseas markets as well as driving the implementation of various strategy and transformation initiatives.

Mercedes-Benz Vans is set to unveil in April its Vision V show car that is its idea of combining generous space with maximum exclusivity.

Starting 2026, the modular, flexible and scalable Van Electric Architecture (VAN.EA) sets the course for a new line-up of vans.

The future model portfolio will range from entry-segment family vehicles and exclusive VIP shuttles to luxurious limousines with an enormous amount of space, each in line with different customer requirements.
