Kia to present its smallest electric car in Spain


SEOUL: The EV2 in concept form will be unveiled at the 2025 Kia EV Day on Feb 27 in Tarragona, Spain.

Kia's smallest electric car would be joined by the EV4, which will make its global debut along with the PV5.

The EV4 was unveiled in concept form at the brand’s first EV Day near Seoul in 2023, while the PV5, the first of Kia’s dedicated Platform Beyond Vehicle (PBV) model, was displayed as a concept at the 2024 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas.

Teaser images and video footage that hint at the concept’s styling, along with close-ups of the new models, offer a preview of Kia's design approach.

Each vehicle showcases aesthetics inspired by Kia’s Opposites United design philosophy, with the visual assets offering a glimpse into the unique characteristics of the Concept EV2, EV4 and PV5.

These three models represent Kia’s new electric vehicle strategy. The Concept EV2, EV4 and PV5 feature the brand’s electric platform technology and showcase the company's goal to lead global sustainable mobility in the passenger and business sectors.

Kia will share its overall PBV strategy, providing full details of the business, vision, product line-up, and launch to support the roll-out of the PV5.

The PBV platform is a battery electric skateboard architecture that underpins the brand’s new PBV business by enabling the flexible combination of various types of vehicle bodies.

Key members of Kia’s senior leadership team would take to the stage throughout Kia EV Day to highlight the company's expanded electrification strategy.
