KUALA LUMPUR: Former England footballer Michael Owen has become the first Leapmotor customer in the United Kingdom having taken delivery of the all-new electric Leapmotor C10.
The C10 sports utility vehicle (SUV) which officially goes on sale in the UK from March 1 is priced at just £36,500 (RM204,107).

Owen, 45, now a racehorse owner and breeder, said he was delighted to be the first Leapmotor customer in the country.

Also going on sale in UK on March 1 is the T03 compact model that offers premium features with B-segment dimensions at an A-segment price of under £16,000 (RM89,764).
Both the C10 and T03 are the result of a pioneering partnership between Stellantis and Chinese technology brand Leapmotor.
Stellantis, owner of brands including Vauxhall, Peugeot, Citroen, Jeep, Alfa Romeo and Fiat, draws on nearly 120 years of history in the automotive sector in the UK.
In Malaysia, the C10 is priced from RM159,000 and comes with a comprehensive 6-year or 150,000km warranty, and a 8-year or 160,000km battery warranty, whichever comes first.
The C10 comes with D-segment features at a C-segment price point.
